Not Allowed To Trade Or Sell Vehicle For 6 Months. Dealer Did Not Disclose This To Us

So to make a long story short I purchased a 2024 GMC HUMMER EV about 6 weeks ago for my wife. We both hate it and wanted to trade it on a Chevy Suburban, and were informed by the dealer (different dealer than purchasing dealer) they could not buy it until it had been 6 months after the vehicle was place "in service" to us or GM would void the warranty and they can't sell a 2024 without a warranty (I didnt blame them). When buying the car neither one of us signed anything stating this, the dealer, finance manager, nor GM of the store never informed us verbally of this, none of the paperwork I have states it anywhere. But the manual does state this as it does for any vehicle GM sells they deem "rare" More details below.

She and I both looked at the vehicle, sat it in, agreed we liked it but were told we could not test drive it until purchased. We completed the purchase (stupidly) and financed it with GM financial. Signed the usual paperwork and drove home (about 20 miles). Immediately the next day (with less than 50 miles on the car) the vehicle threw every code on the dash possible, limited the acceleration and limited the speed to 25 mph. The car was in the shop for weeks (we hadn't even had it 24 hours). We got it back about 2 weeks later, this wasn't the end of the world for us as we had not yet sold her old car ( but would like to soon to recoup the down payment). We drove it about a week and then it threw the reduced acceleration again but none of the other codes and didnt limit speed, so we drove it ourselves to the dealer this time to avoid being stuck at home all day waiting on a tow truck. They had it fixed about 3 days later but we are paranoid of yet another issue popping up and potentially being stranded.

The other issue is neither one of us I think are ready for the lifestyle switch to an EV. We have solar on our house and presumed an EV was the next step, but we are just not ready yet. More her than me to be honest, I work from home 3 days a week and my driving day to day is less than 10 miles so I could very easily get by with any EV, my commute the other 2 days is about 150 miles round trip. Which still would work for me. I would be ok with an EV as long as one of us had an ICE car.

But I know legally speaking we really dont have a way around the 6 month sale "ban" that isnt a ban it just discourages people from "flipping" these. The trade offer we got before the store manager told us he couldn't buy it from us was 5k less than we paid not including TTL so im for sure not trying to flip it for profit. However I feel like we should have been informed about this sale ban before we purchased it. I know with any of the European cars I have purchased in the past (Benz, Land Rover, etc) we had to sign a document stating we wouldn't export it. We just really want something else and realize this vehicle was an impulsive expensive mistake and want to be done with it ASAP.
