They were not married. They lived in a home they shared. They got in an argument He confessed to beating her in the head with a tire iron he fetched from his car. He beat her until he knew she wasn’t breathing - he confessed in Nicaraguan court. He drug her to his truck and under cover of darkness he threw her in the side of a road to be found 2 days later. Their finances were largely combined. “Her” estate is sizable. The murderer’s PoA wants access to shared accounts to get him extradited to the US and put in prison here. The murdered woman’s sole child, a daughter, lives in WA state. Her daughter has 2 small children. Question: what “kind” of help does the daughter need, what type of attorney? Is it “possible” for the daughter to secure her mother’s portion of the funds? Please do not tell me that man can murder my friend AND take all her money and belongings.
