My Partners Car Was Stolen Last Night. Our Complex Is Supposed To Be A Secure Gated Community But Both Gates Are Broken And Left Open 24/7

Hi all last night my partner’s car was stolen from the parking lot of my apartment complex. The gates are broken and have been broken since before we moved in. We were told when we signed the lease that the gate would be getting fixed in a few months (we’re almost at the end of our lease) and it has yet to be fixed and because they leave the gates open 24/7 my partners car was stolen. The gate they would have driven the stolen car through was recently reopened. It had been secured up until about 2 months ago. They have signage saying there is cameras but there are no cameras. They are refusing to do anything (credit us or let us break the lease with no financial reprocussions) and are just now starting to start the process of fixing the gate. We pay a premium for a 1 bed apartment in a “secure gated community” we were also lied to about other amenities (dog park but there is no dog park).

Is there anything we can do legally?
