My Neighbor Sent Me A Letter Asking For $8k For Invading His Privacy.
[US-CA] I live in an apartment building. I installed a door ring camera on the exterior of my door. The neighbors across the court hall (12 feet away) have a wall window.
He has asked that I move my camera so it’s not facing his big window. I asked the property manager and he said that I don’t need to, and that his window is visible to naked eye from that common area. So I didn’t move it.
Now he is asking for 8k or he will take me to small claims court for rent reduction as he is not able to utilize his window or open his curtains.
