My Landlord Said If He’s Got To Keep Repairing Things They Can’t Afford Then He’s Just Going To Sell The Property.

Location: Lawrenceville, Ga So i’ve been living in my current house for about 10+years. At first my grandma had a deal with the owner that we would lease to own. Unfortunately my grandma passed and because of this we had to redo the lease and the owner she had the deal with passed as well. So we redid the lease and he said he didn’t want to do a lease to own anymore because it’s not beneficial for his mother( which is our new landlord, her husband took care of the house while he was here), fast forward to a few months in, the house isn’t the newest house by any means, and it definitely needs updating. We had a couple of things that needed to be fixed (i.e, the roof and the basement flooding) that they fixed but afterwards taking to my landlords son ( who has power of attorney) he told us that if things keep breaking or if things still need to be repaired, his mom can’t afford it and they’ll just end up selling the house. I’m worried that if we keep bringing issues up that we’ll be out of a place. Side note, i’ve been asking to resign a new lease because the other one was over in June, and he keeps saying that because the lease ended in June that we’re on a month to month lease and he’ll give us a lease when he has a chance. It’s also a delicate situation because my grandma was really close with the owner and we don’t wanna cause any issues, but as things are breaking down and us not having the money to fix it puts us in a situation. Anyone have any advice on what i should do? As previously mentioned, the house needs work like updating the plumbing, electrical, and stuff like that. Any advice is greatly appreciated
