My Insurance Company Gave Me At Least One Bogus Comp When Trying To Settle A Claim

About two weeks ago someone hit my car parked outside of my house going the opposite direction (likely drunk or texting but all that's a different story). The short story is we have the driver and his insurance and it's the same company that I use. I will note the insurance company I have is supposed to be highly rated.
So I'm filing a claim on their policy and they came back saying it was totaled and made an offer that is KBB "fair". My car is almost 20 years old but only like 120K miles. I am unable to find the same car I had for the same "fair" price. So I've researched comps from my surrounding area and what I found was $2500-4500 more than what they offered me.
I sent those comparisons to the adjuster and I'm waiting to hear back. In the meantime, I got an email with the insurance company's "comps" and they all were lowballed around the "fair" price but they're all across the country from me. However, I decided to find a few of the closest ones (180+ miles away) and research them online.
One of the comps was from February of 2024 and they gave me the name, number, address of the company. When I did my research, it said the car company was "Permanently Closed" on Google. So I called the number provided in the comp (which matched google) and an auto company answered (sounded like a garage shop).
Me: "Is [company] here?"
Worker: "No. It's out of business."
Me: "Oh, when did it go out of business?"
Worker: "We've been here for 2 years."
Everything else (facebook, yelp, google reviews) pertaining to this car company all seems to stop a few years ago. Which leads me to wonder, is my company committing fraud by giving me false comps? Is there any steps I should take to protect my ass and get the best value for my car and hold them accountable for this?
