My Dad Died, Mom Says There Is No Will. Highly Suspicious.

Card image cap

My parents were still married when my father passed very unexpectedly. Both in their late 60s but given family history, neither set of parents made it to 75, and that my father was always very on the ball and organized, I am finding this very hard to believe.

My mom said there is no will. Neither of them have one. This doesn’t make sense for about 5 different very big and serious reasons besides it just being irresponsible.

Is there a way for me to legally find out if he had a will? I would have assumed if he left anything to anyone besides my mother, we would have been contacted, but that’s not the big concern.

I have one unemployed adult sibling still living at my parents house and I’m concerned about that situation. I want to make sure decisions are being made in the best interest of my mother. We have a rocky relationship but I still love her.
