My Boss Requires Me To Do 2 Titled Jobs That Have Their Own Respective Salary’s In Order To Make Up My Salary.

I got hired as a tech but ended up performing the full duties of a PTA, including the responsibility of doing clinical notes. An actual licensed PTA would sign off on the notes. This clinic I work for offered chiropractic care, so I needed a job once I got my DC license. Now that I am licensed, I perform the duties of a chiropractor in the clinic, but I was asked to continue the PTA work in the same fashion. I want to know if this is legal.
I understood that I had higher expectations than a regular tech, but I didn’t know the catch was to be an underpaid PTA until I got licensed as a chiropractor, just so they could pay me as a chiropractor and not acknowledge the dual responsibility that I’m currently handling.
The owner of the company said that if I refuse to do the PTA work, I would have to move to part-time because my boss can’t afford to pay me as a full-time chiropractor. This leaves me stuck because I can’t afford to get paid less. He basically said that my current salary of $75k makes up for doing both jobs. An entry-level chiropractic job in the company pays $65k-$80k, and if you add a tech position, which in this case is really a PTA salary, my salary should have reflected at least $90k-$95k. Instead, I'm doing two jobs for one salary. To be honest, while I agreed out of desperation, I do feel taken advantage of. Is it worth seeking legal action against them?
