My Bf Has Nudes Of Me And Has Threatened My Family's Safety If I Leave Him.

For context, me (24F) and my bf (26M) met in college in my home state. He lives in Indiana with his parents and I live in New Jersey with mine. He has nudes of me, some with my face and some not (but I'd be recognizable to close relatives). I'm worried he'll leak them via dummy social media accounts on Instagram and Twitter under the impression he can't be tracked or legally punished. I figured I'd wait to see him in person again (within a month or two) and try getting into his phone to delete them because he likely has them in a hidden folder (he has an iPhone). But I want to end things immediately with him in a clear manner that cautions him from attempting to expose the pictures.

Please let me know the laws regarding "revenge porn" for his/my state and how I can protect myself or what I should say to him to deter this from happening. I cannot afford a lawyer/attorney and I don't want a situation where I have to serve him court papers. I just want him out of my life peacefully.
