My (22m) Coworker (45m) Is Stalking Me
A while back I started a new job in a new city and one much older coworker in particular seemed to latch onto me. We both played in a pickleball league and bonded over it.
He introduced me to lots of people and a new community that I really enjoyed. I told him about a trip I was going on, and he had been before, spoke the local language etc. and essentially invited himself along (first red flag ). On the trip, he started to become clingy, possessive, and jealous. He started saying creepy things to me and becoming touchy.
I immediately ended the friendship due to this discomfort. Only after I returned, I started getting my tires slashed, weird texts sent to me from a fake number, and my friend received weird emails from someone pretending to be another friend of mine asking about me. Now my friend received a DM from a blank Instagram detailing where I was each night the following weekend.
I've gone to the police about the tire slashing and informed my work, but I'm scared because l've heard stories of this person being vengeful and I'm terrified of this getting worse. I don’t want to ruin his life or get him fired, I just need him to leave my friends and I alone.
I have had no luck tracing the texts or emails to an IP ( I believe they used a VPN), and thus I unfortunately don’t have any solid proof that it’s him, but I just moved here and have not had any falling outs with anyone but him. Does anyone have advice?
I don't know if I'm being paranoid but he tracked me somehow so maybe there's a device planted in my car? Please advise!!
