Mo Early Termination Of Lease
I live in MO and recently purchased a house. My apartment (1 unit in duplex) lease ends June 19th. I have requested to have a walk through with the landlord and turn over our keys because I don't want to have responsibility for an apartment I'm not living in. I know I'm responsible for paying the remaining rent (they have a new tenant for 7/1). The landlord has informed me that they will schedule the walkthrough closer to the end of our lease and that I'm still responsible for mowing the lawn. The lawn maintenance is shared tenant responsibility, but after the other tenants moved out in October they have turned the other unit into an Airbnb (without informing us) so no one else has been helping mow (landlords mowed 2x when they have been in town).
Is there any way to go about an official early termination so I will not be responsible for an apartment I'm not living in and also take the utilities out of my name? There is nothing about early termination in the lease.
