Legal Standpoint On Relationships (gf/bf) Ex Gf Stole Half My Possessions, Broke The Other Half And Stole What She Could
Long story sum-up, there was no Flair for this. My recent abusive ex broke up with me, we lived together in our first apartment, cheatting if it matters (prolly wont) stole half my stuff over time while i wasnt home and broke other specific items (TV, Photos), an anger outburst. I called the police but they said since we where in a relationship/Ex partners she technically owned half of my items so what she could take she was allowed too, and what she broke she was allowed too. Even though she wasnt living in my apartment, she had been living at her new BFs house about 40 minutes away but the cops still said classifying we were in a relationship so they couldnt help. She had stolen a safe with a certian amount of cash i had stored, no proof of how much. No proof of her breaking stuff (her and her step father involved most times breaking items) and she stole something else, i had a recent friend have a house fire, needed money, sold items to make something. I bought something off of him and i stored it away, not able to use it until we did a Transfer into my name.(i dont have an I.D. or SSC/another long story) I have a paper recipt and signatures of him selling it too me. My Ex stole that item aswell and its severely illegal in her hands but she doesnt believe it is. Shes been freely using it outside and buying things for it. There are lots of questions some of you have and ill be happily to answer every single one, i know my message isnt detailed enough. What im trying to ask you nice people, what can i do? About atleast the stolen item she took, that's illegal in her hands. The money i cant do anything. No proof of ownership. Everything i lost, no proof. But the one thing she stole i have proof, what can i do? Excuse the rushed message! Thank you all in advance!
