Large Financial Mess-up At Work
I have an upcoming project at work that multiple parties have their eyes on. There had been many delays due to faulty equipment and we’re finally back to testing. I’m a little nervous though because I’ve been assigned to test the equipment and am responsible for the programming.
I was added to the project a couple months ago and supposedly the programming should work - the previous engineer had worked on it but left for a new job. I’m not sure what caused the equipment to break before.
In the event that the equipment breaks again and my company would be at fault, would I personally face legal consequences? These are very expensive equipment, I’m thinking at least $100k+. I don’t really see how it would break again, but there’s just a lot of pressure right now.
