Kroger Won’t Fix Car Or Report

I had an employee hit my car with a train of carts that damaged my back end pretty decently, the employee didn’t say anything until manager came out, then employee said I’m sorry etc. We did a report with the store and 3 months later they have told us they don’t have it and never filed it and doesn’t even know anything about it. Says the manager has no idea who it was that reported it even though we told them who but he denied. What do yall think we can do with this, is this something we can sue for through a lawyer or what?
