Is It Pointless To Contest A Traffic Ticket?
My bf was ticketed on I-355 for following too close behind a police officer.
-He maintains he was 3 car lengths behind. -The ticket says he was 2 car lengths behind. -The officer said at that speed (70mph), he should have been 4 semi-trucks behind.
Bf has an image of how far he was behind the officer, but I am not good at judging how far that is.
He does not need to appear in court if he pleads guilty and pays the $164 ticket. We are in Illinois.
If anyone has any experience with this, we would love some input. Just wondering if it is even worth it to contest.
