Is It Illegal For Someone To Give Out My Phone Number To Bill Collectors And Job Applications And Everything And Anything Even Tho Im Not Affiliated With Them?
Canadian here, my ex boyfriend of 8 years ago has taken it uppon himself to start giving my phone number away. Bill collectors are calling me non stop thinking im him, some think im his employer. Ive been told the number has been given very recently from several companies. He was abusive in went no contact and we had a third party deal with getting my name off of a house we bought together so i would never have to see him again. I never spoke two words to him in 8 years. He gets a new phone every now and again and tries to contact me. He has sent mail to my house before as well. I dont want to change my phone number i had the same number my entire life.
