I Was Laid Off (not Fired) And Asked To Ship Back The Company Laptop. Do I Have To Pay For That?

pretty much the title, but i got laid off because i refused to move back. I moved and went full remote right before the company changed its policy about full remote work. the company is in CA and i live in CA but 500 miles away. on my last day i got an email from HR that said:

"thanks for taking time to meet with me and as discussed attached for your records is a copy of your exit interview questionnaire which I have signed. Please send me the FedEx tracking number when you have shipped your laptop. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can assist in any way."

do i have to pay for the shipping? also, i have other company property other than the laptop, (the biggest is a monitor) if i have to pay for shipping that, can i just not mention the extra equipment? its not that i am not willing to give them their things back, i just don't want to pay a lot of money to ship all that.
