I Reported Moldy Food And My Job Is Trying To Get Me Fired

okay, for context, i work in a Subway in north east Texas.

i was slicing tomatoes and noticed some of the tomatoes were moldy, so naturally i throw them away, soon thereafter a "shift lead" asks why I'm throwing them away and begins to insist to just "cut off the mold" i try to explain why I'm not going to do that and she gets pissy and runs away, this happens about two more times (keep in mind i never used moldy tomatoes even with their suggestions)
eventually i went to our head manager and he confirmed with me that the proper procedure is to discard of the tomatoes and take note of how many are discarded. the same course of events happens once more and nothing is changed
so i call the local health department
management found out it was me that called the health department and are now trying to get me fired,

is there anything i can do?
