I Left A Bad Google Review And Now I’m Being Harassed.
In case it’s important, this takes place in Michigan. I left a bad review for an oil change place in the morning. The review was about how the quality in service has gone down and all the staff has changed.
Immediately after posting the review, they accused me of lying and said their attorney would be sending me a cease a desist letter.
After 2 hours of posting the review, I get a call from my manager at my job. They told me someone just called regarding the review I left. They told my manager I had to take down the fake review or else he would have his cousin who works for the sheriffs office make problems for the business.
Later on when I get into work, two hours into my shift, a guy walks in and asks my name. After I tell him he starts screaming and swearing at me to take the review down. I had to call the police.
The police told me he’s accusing me of harassing his business, making death threats, and beyond. I had him trespassed but I feel unsafe.
I left a bad google review, the business owner found out where I worked and is harassing me and my place of work.
What do I do? Should I just take down the review? Do I have any legal recourse if I continue to be harassed?
