I Have Latent Tuberculosis Because Of My Job But My Job Won’t Say It Was From Them

I’m a nurse, and every year per hospital policy we get a tb test (blood or skin) to see if we have latent/active tb. Last year I got my test in April and I was fine. Between last April and this April, I now test positive for tb. Also between this time frame, I have taken care of 2 patients as the primary nurse, who were later diagnosed with active tuberculosis and thus during the time that I took care of them, I was not wearing the proper precautions. Per employee health, they said my name was never on any tuberculosis exposure list purely because somehow they calculated I had not been in the patients room for long enough (combined exposure of 12 + hours). Not really sure how they got this special number of 12 hours. I want to file a workers comp and I told my manager of all this and she does not want to file one because I was not on any list for exposure. Can she just not submit her end of it? She’s not even providing me with the form for this.
Between last year and now I did travel internationally twice. I went to Cancun and I went to Japan, both of which are NOT high risk countries. Also for both trips I was glued to my boyfriend at the hip so to prove I got it from the hospital I could have him get tested…
For this compensation I would only receive $40 back for the tuberculosis medicine that I am taking but I want it on record that the hospital that I work at caused this.
