Gunshot Through My Room
First time poster on Reddit. I am a college student in Indiana and have been looking for some laws and such about my tenant rights. But none of them included bullet holes going through my room. Last Friday there was a shooting right outside my apartment and a bullet ended up getting shot right through my room. I’m curious what steps I can make to notify them and if im entitled to any type of compensation. We filed a police report but have not notified the apartment complex’s leasing office yet because of our busy class schedules. Any tips on how to resolve this or know of any way to go from here? (I don’t have renters insurance btw).
