Grandma Passed Away In December 2022 And Left Me 25% Of Her House. I Haven’t Heard Anything Since February 2023

This is in CT. My brother and I were estranged from our grandma and her son for about 9 years when she passed. In February of last year, we both received letters in the mail to attend a probate hearing. We weren’t expecting anything, but to our surprise she left us both 25% of the sale of her house.

It’s now been well over a year and we haven’t heard anything. Our uncle isn’t exactly fond of us, and since he’s the executor of the estate I’m not sure if there’s some legal loophole that would allow him to somehow screw us over. Does anyone know how long this process typically takes?

Also, would I call my uncle’s lawyer’s office for more info about this? Or would I call the local courthouse? Thanks for any help!
