Girlfriend Fell In Store, They Refuse To Give A Copy Of Incident Report.

Long story short, my girlfriend was already on crutches for a bone contusion she is suffering from. While walking to the exit of a large chain clothing store, her crutch landed on some clothes that were on the floor, and she took a pretty hard fall when her crutch slipped out from under her. There were tons of clothes all over the floors. We were able to file an incident report (her injury is already pretty bad) but they refused to give us a copy. Is this legal/do they do this for their own protection? What happens if her physical therapy gets extended as a result, or she can’t work for even longer because of this? The manager who talked to us was incredibly rude/didn’t seem to care whatsoever that she was crying on the floor.
