Could Use Some Opinions Here. Do You Think She Has A Case Against This Doctor?

Could use some opinions here. Do you think she has a case against this doctor?

My mom, whom is 72 years old, fell off of my porch, injuring herself. She could hardly walk and was in a lot of pain when she attempted to. She contacted her PCP but they didn't have any available appointments, they suggested she go to the urgent care that is apart of the same clinic.

When she went to urgent care, she explained to the doctor where she was having pain, in her foot and her leg but mostly her leg. The doctor ordered an Xray of her foot and later came in and told her that her foot has been fractured in three different places. She prescribed a boot for her to wear and advised her to wear it or else her foot would break completely. She did not run any other labs, test, etc. The only advise given was to stay off her foot for 4-6 weeks and to stay in the boot.

After speaking with my mom, hearing the diagnosis, I didn't like that more wasn't done. I mean, she's 72 years old, she feel 3-4 feet onto a rock. I expected the full work up and if the doctor was unable to provide that, we expect honesty and to be referred to an ER to obtain the full workup.

The next day, mom calls her PCP hoping for an appointment. None were available until 11/21/24. That was too long for me, I told her to please be seen by a different doctor that day (11/19/24) she agreed and was taken to Ortho Arkansas Urgent care. They explained to the doctor there that she had an Xray at the clinic so the doctor contacted the clinic. The clinic claimed to have sent them over to Ortho AR but Ortho never received them so the doctor ordered another Xray of her foot and hips. He found the fractures in her foot but also found her pelvis to be broken and strongly suggested surgery ASAP. He said she will not be able to walk again without the surgery and will be in constant pain the rest of her life. She agreed to the surgery and he told her to go to Baptist ER NLR. When she arrived, they had orders to do labs, Xray and a CT while she waits for a room to be ready.

I feel the Dr she seen at the clinic was neglectful. Her age was never considered. It honestly feels like the doctor had a long day and was ready to go. She did not treat my mom with care. She failed her.
