Could My Non Compete Clause Be Unenforceable? (maine)

Card image cap

Healthcare provider in rural Maine that has a non-compete clause of 60 miles from every clinic owned by the company. The way the clinics are spread out this would effectively block every township from just outside of Augusta to the top of Maine, more than 1/3 of the state. The closest clinic to my current job offer also does not provide my specialty and have never worked in that location.

Would this fall under circumstance of unreasonable expectation and enforcement as it severely limits my ability to live and work in the state?

With a mileage limit does that typically apply as a straight distance "as the crow flies" or in regards to actual distance driven by car?

Another job offer has presented itself and I am hoping to accept since it would be substantial increase in pay as well as quality of life.

I should add a non compete from what i have read could be considered non enforcible if it is contrary to public interest. So by trying to enforce this non compete it would be doing a disservice to the patients and communities who need my care and limiting healthcare options.
