Company Garnished My Bank Account
A company garnished my regions account, I immediately went to my bank and talked to the branch manager. He couldn't tell me what the garnishment was for because it wasn't in my name. Only that it was for about $9,000. The only other person on my bank account was my mom. She helped me set it up back when I was 16. I informed her about the garnishment to find out her own personal account hadn't been garnished only mine. My mom doesn't put money or have anything to do with my account I just never removed her from it. She never received any summons or court order. She called the company and they said they made a mistake and stopped the garnishment. They never gave me my money back. I want to file a lawsuit against them but don't know the best way to go about it. Any advice is appreciated
