College Using My Image Off Campus

Card image cap

Rencently my former college (graduated last year) posted a piture of me at their booth for pride in the park. The picture was taken back when I was still a student but in the summer and it was taken completely off campus. The picture was taken by the head of my department and he is/was someone I work with in an organization completly removed from the college. I view him as a freind and gave him my permision to take it (I had assumed the picture was for their story or to send to our coworkers) but things have changed over the past year, I am now in a possition where I would perfer not to be the face of pride for a large organization within my city.

I have DM'ed them, explained the situation, and asked them to remove the post but I am now wondering, what even is the legality of my image in this situation? Cause its an old picture, off campus, taken in summer, im not a student anymore, and I gave permision to an individual not the organization... but that individual was litterally representing said organization at the time and when I was a student they had rights to my image. I feel like they should'nt have the right to it but my brain says they probably do.
