Co Parenting Woes
I am in the middle of an acrimonious custody dispute. I have a little girl with my ex whose family are JW. Two years ago he received a summons from the state for child support after five years of not helping. To retaliate he files for sole custody and child support. I agree to giving joint custody. I was told it was on paper only to help him obtain a two bedroom apartment because he is homeless. The order has her at home with me we split transportation to school and after school and she’s home by 7. On weekends they go out at noon and come back at 7. That wasn’t good enough. He took off to the south. I went back to court several times but he’s evading the process server. It’s been seven months. Now he’s trying to put me on child support from another state claiming abandonment. This situation feels unreal. I just want to know what legal statutes I can use to advocate for myself I am exhausted and Mass free legal is overwhelmed with migrant cases. At this point do I even have a leg to stand on?
