Change Our Daughters Last Name. No Contact With Biological Father.
Hello. I'm looking for advice on the process for changing my daughters last name. I'm not biologically her father but I've been with her since 6 months old (Currently 8 Years Old). My daughter has my wives maiden name, not her biological fathers last name.
Her father does pay a minimal amount of child support; however, he moved out of state (Florida) this year and has had 0 contact with our daughter for 6+ years. My wife is the one who has to go through the whole process and they want us to have him served with papers for the name change documents, but we have no idea where he lives. What kind of options does that leave us with?
