Car Towed

I went to a shopping center and dined at an establishment then crossed the street to go to another restaurant but couldn’t drive my car there because there was an event going on and no parking available so I left my car at the shopping center where I first dined . Came back an hour later and it had been towed. I was a customer at that shopping center so I dont know why it got towed. The receipt I got from towing company when I got my car back said that I parked in a customer only which again I was a customer. How can I fight this and who do I fight it with? Towing company? Security company? Owner of parking lot?

FYI the towing company was only in possession of my car for about 35 minutes . I paid with credit card to get it out because I need my car .
