Can't Afford Divorce, Ex Ghosted Me
Basically what the title says
He's in the military (army) and we broke up in late 2021. I went back home to my home state and he was stationed on the east coast. I was a trad wife with a gap in my resume and could not afford a divorce, and he didn't want one because they would mean he'd have to go live in the barracks which he did not want.
I know I shouldn't have listened to him because he's never told the truth, but I've been begging for years for us to finally get a divorce. At this point we've been separated longer than we were married but he will not respond to anything. I have texted, called, tried every form of social media, I've even emailed this man and he will not respond.
I make $16.50/hr. Every time I do manage to save a bit something comes up, you know how life is :/ Lawyers I have talked to have said they cannot help me because he's in the military - do I need a specific kind of lawyer for this?
Is there anything I can do or do I just have to wait until he eventually finds his next victim and wants to marry her?
