Debating taking plea because seems like lawyers are v inept in the state it’s in, or expensive and it’s still risky. Wanted to move abroad since a kid and think this will ruin that. It hurts because it’s an abusive ex who is a sociopath and wants to control and “crush” me, and the state is eating up his BS. I have severe PTSD from it so trying to speak up and not being heard is extremely painful. And of course in such a situation you HAVE to speak up consistently but have had HORRIBLE lawyers so negligent and messed up basic facts - seemingly desperate for me to take plea because it isn’t a “conviction” but it’s still two felony charges and a guilty finding or plea. And I didn’t do this (stalking and cyberstalking)! I wasn’t even in the state he lived in. Haven’t seen him since I broke up w him years ago. It’s a long painful story but the guys totally a narcissistic psychopath and I’ll probably live the rest of my life in fear if I even have the health to live long at all with such bad PTSD. My heart breaks having the country or state believe him and im way too sensitive and traumatized to push much harder at people who FULLY believe his BS. And threaten if I don’t take it I’d have to go to trial and see him perform (he’s a full sociopath who fake cries and will probably love the experience of a trial to torture me) and threaten jail (he told me this is his fantasy). But I don’t want to be impoverished and unable to work or move away or get other citizenship. Can someone help?
