Bought A Car 2.5 Weeks Ago And Dealership Won’t Give It To Us Because They Don’t Have The Title.

Hey all, looking for some advice on this situation. My husband and I bought a pre-owned trade in vehicle almost three weeks ago but we are unable to take the car off the lot due to them not having the proper title. I’m not 100% sure the exact details as I have gotten most of the information from my husband and the details have changed a few times from the dealership. Basically one of their employees traded in their vehicle and got a new one, this is the vehicle we bought. Apparently while it was theirs they switched the registration from New Hampshire to Massachusetts so when they sold it they had a Massachusetts title and now that we’re buying it in order to register it and change the title to us they need the original New Hampshire title. Originally they said the title would get mailed from the rmv to the original owner and then she would just bring it in. This week though they told my husband they were expecting a shipment from fedex that the title could come then. All around they’ve been unpleasant from the start. So now we’re almost three weeks out still waiting, and paying for a car we can’t drive and for the insurance. I know we could cancel the sale but we’ve already waited this long and it’s really the perfect car at the right price. Sorry for any formatting and grammar mistakes.
