Are There Any Legal Grounds For This???

Card image cap

There has recently been an incident at my workplace in which a minor was filmed nude without her consent by an assistant manager who is an adult woman. This manager was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography, but the owner of the store has texted the victim and told her that he doesn’t want this spreading around the store, and if he finds out someone else knows about it he will get the cops involved. If this is a public case which involves the safety of a minor (as well as all other minors who work in the store in close contact with the manager) what would he even press charges about? No confidentiality agreement has been signed about this, and I don’t understand what his reason for threatening the victim with police involvement could be. I would also like to add that when we were hired, we signed a confidentiality agreement, but to my knowledge this agreement is only for the no disclosure of company information involving rules, procedures, recipes, stuff like that. Could charges be pressed on everyone who knows something about it, or is he just bluffing? I don’t want to share the town, but this is in North Carolina.
