Airbnb Host Requesting Money After Stay And Threatening To Charge More If Not Paid In 48 Hours

My friends and I stayed at an Airbnb last weekend and 2 days after returning (the day that we submitted our review) our host accused us of having more guests than listed. Additionally, he accused us of several things such as not cleaning the grill (we did not use the grill once throughout the stay), drug paraphernalia being left at the property (we did not use/have any drugs or paraphernalia on us), moving furniture, playing music outside, and more that we did not do. Upon multiple messages from the host, I responded saying that his claims were false to which he repeatedly asked if we had more overnight guests than stated. I did not respond to this.

The host is requesting money for 3 things - extra guests, extra cleaning, and a grill cleaning fee. Being that we did not touch the grill the entire trip and cleaned up after ourselves, along with the other claims that he is now no longer mentioning, I would like to dispute these charges. However, he has stated that we have 48 hours to pay or else there will be additional costs such as mileage to/from the property to deal with the issues, $700/night for blocked nights at Airbnb, his time at $500/hr (per contract, if a citation is issued from the city this is the fee, but he has not mentioned a citation), and any additional costs that may be involved such as legal fees (court filing fees, lawyer fees, etc.).

My question is what recourse do I have? It’s clear that he wants to intimidate us into paying and not escalating with Airbnb - if I do so I’m assuming it will take more than 48 hours to be settled, is he actually entitled to set a time limit like this rather than let Airbnb handle things, and if so will I potentially get myself into owing much more by contesting it?
