[az] Landlord Wants To Install Smart Home Devices That I Do Not Want

Hello,
As per the title, the landlord of my apartment complex kinda sprung on me the fact that they want to install these smart home devices which includes: smart locks, lights, and thermostats. For reasons that I won't bother getting into I don't want these devices in my apartment. I had a quick chat with them since they sent out the email pretty much right before they closed, but the gist of it was this: I cannot opt out of the installation despite my desires.
Now I glanced over the lease agreement relatively quickly and while I can't say for certain, im pretty sure there's nowhere in the lease that mentions anything about smart home devices, including the ones mentioned above. There was also no mention about the fact that they are allowed to install items in my apartment in general.
Is this one of those instances where it's not explicitly mentioned, but could be assumed by reading between the lines that they can actually just install items in my apartment regardless of my consent? Or should I just point out that the lease makes no mention of it and therefore I do not want them to install it? Ill go over the lease agreement properly tomorrow, but should I also ask them to point out where in my lease it says that they can do what they plan on doing despite my desires?
