She was preceded in her ascent to Heaven by her beloved and longed for mama and daddy, Barron and Beulah Hewitt, her dearly loved sister Barbara Ann Jackson and brother in law Ronald Franklin Jackson. She leaves behind to honor and follow her Lord, the love of her life, Michael Kent Walker, her two daugthers Michelle Lee Walker and Theresa Lynette Walker, her precious little brother Joe Henry Hewitt, sweet nieces Veressa Joy Jackson, Abby Danielle Hewitt, beloved nephews Ronny Jackson, David Joseph Hewitt, and wonderful great nieces Jordan Alexandra Jackson and Victoria Alana Baker, beloved cousins, beloved in-laws, Lindale Church family, priceless friends, neighbors. Special love and thanks to Jimmy and Ruth, Elois, LouAnn, Mary P, Miriam & Agustin, Fuente de Aqua Viva with Pastors Pablo and Ana, Cup of Cold Water Ministries with Igor and Linda Demjen. and Lindale Church Pastors Randy and Jana whom she adored. She loved all of her friends so very deeply. She would say thank you for the love and support you all gave in one way or the other, many, many of you going above and beyond
Her world consisted of God, her family, her church, her friends and those in need.. She spent a lifetime being godly, soft spoken, loud praying, kind, compassionate, generous, positive, encouraging, faithful, responsible, consistent, serving, committed, honest, longsuffering, friendly, fun, and loving.
She was always the peacemaker and her only request when asked what she wanted, was "peace" and "unity" for her family. She never asked for anything for herself. She endeavored to give more than she received.
She enjoyed gardening, yard work, keeping her home organized and clean, birds, dogs, cats, nature. She spent her last years watching the squirrels and birds feed outside the back door with Mike. She said those were her babies.
She also enjoyed talking on the phone with her prayer partners. Janie, Elvira and Mary C were her most recent prayer partners. She had previously enjoyed sitting in the back pew with her friends Lanelle and Betty.
She has a longtime friend, practically sister, of 40 years, Patricia Echandi. We appreciate the love and care for mama from you and your family, Patricia.
Mama loved praying, singing , worshipping, serving Jesus. She prayed daily for everyone that she knew, cried for those who were hurting , rejoiced with those who rejoiced, and encouraged those who needed it. She prayed her two daughters and her husband back into fellowship with God when they went astray. She never gave up on them.
She kept her joy, faith and loving kindness during many years of pain and illness. She never, ever complained and rarely was it known how much she was really hurting or how sick she was. She fought long and hard. She never gave up. Her body got tired and released its hold on her spirit. Her Lord carried her home to be eternally with Him and to await the soon coming of the rest of her loved ones to join her.

Mama Walker was a Mama to me for 13 years, as she is my best friend, Michelle's, Mama. My own mother went to Heaven 28 years ago, so I was truly blessed and honored to be a part of her life since 2005. I will truly miss her greatly, looking forward to seeing her again on the other side with Jesus! Love forever, Nona Ellington

I spent a lot of time with Sister Virginia back when her daughter Theresa was attending Jimmy Seaggart Bible College. We went to Campmeetings together and to pick up Theresaz. Virginia really loved the Lord, her daughters, Theresa and Michelle, and Mike Walker, her husband. Also when Patricia Echandi’s parents were still alive, Virginia was their caretaker. We would all go to Luby’s or Whataburger together. She was a precious Saint and will be truly missed. But Virginia is st the Real Campmeeting now, and may the knowledge of her Joy bring comfort to those she has left behind here who really miss her.
