There will be no formal funeral services for Lorraine, rather we will have a celebration of life!
We will honor her by celebrating her life here on earth and rejoicing in her eternal life in Heaven.
The Story
She was born November 09, 1956 in Burtonwood, UK to Gary and Doreen Swem. Her family moved to the USA when she was 3 years old.
She married her lifelong love, Steven Powell on November 26, 1993. Lorraine wanted a home filled with laughter and love, so she filled it with kids and pets.
She enjoyed reading and listening to music - Aerosmith, the Beatles, Brooks and Dunn were among her favorites. Hippie at heart, she was also a true animal lover. Lorraine’s talents were many, she was extremely good at drawing, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother (“nana” as she would prefer). Christmas was her favorite holiday, she enjoyed decorating the house with lights and ornaments while singing along to Feliz Navidad.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Steven Powell, her three children, Heather French, Kelly, Michael Powell; four grandchildren, Madison, Owen, Liam, Remy, and father Gary Swem. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children and husband.

Lori,
Rest well and bask in the sunlight of Gods kingdom. It's not goodbye but see you later as we will all see you again someday. Until then, take care. You will be missed.
Love,
Allen, Paula, Samantha and Patrick.

Mom,
I love you so much, and my heart is no longer whole without you. You'll always be my "t-rex arms" mom, and not a day will drift by without me thinking about you. Rest well.
Love your first born,
Heather
