Sunnie Rae Reza June 2, 2004-May 31, 2013
Sunni as we knew her was full of life. As we got together to remember her, several incidents came to mind. We reminisced about the funny, thoughtful, courageous and scary things she did. She was always making everyone laugh and enjoyed her life.
We remembered when she was in Kindergarten she was so excited that she had graduated and moving up to the First Grade. When she got to first grade she was all grown up. She took it upon herself to trek the 3-mile walk home from school, while Adri and Stevie were frantically looking for her.
When she got to the 2nd grade, Sunni got on the wrong bus. When the bus driver told her she had to get off the bus, Sunni just threw her hands up in the air and told him, "fine". She then began here long walk home. She found a lady to help her get a hold of her grandma to come pick her up. She knew better than to walk again.
We all remember the time that Sunni and AdaMari began their business ventures. They were aware of a fundraiser going on at AdaMari's school. They then came up with a bright idea to "borrow/take" the soda's that belonged to the construction workers. They then told them about the fundraiser and sold them back to the workers at 2.00 a piece. They even got their Tio Eddie to buy some. All Eddie could say is "man, that's the most expensive soda I ever bought."
Sunni was bit of a hustler, but she had a very generous nature. Her grandma gave here $20 when she came to Albuquerque one year for her to buy ice creams for the summer. The first round that the ice cream truck came around, she picked out what she wanted. She saw girl that wanted an ice cream, but didn't have any money so Sunni not only bought her an ice cream she gave her whatever was left of the $20. She didn't hesitate to giver her money away because she was always giving towards thos who did not have much.
Sunni was always full of life. She loved to play basket ball and was so excited to start playing on her school team. She brought so much joy to her mom, grandma and family. She was the light of all of our lives.
Sunni will always be our little sunshine.
