Dolly and her family boarded Empress of Ireland. Her father boarded 2nd class. Dolly and her mother were 3rd class. In the midst of thick fog at night the ship collided with another ship SS Storsad which caused a gash on its side. The ship sank in fourteen minutes. Frank (the father) and his wife managed to survive but sadly their daughter Dolly was lost.
