A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 6th, 2015 from Noon until 4pm at the Malton Community Centre, 3540 Morning Star Drive, Mississauga, in place of a traditional funeral visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Cremation has taken place according to Norm's wishes. The family will hold a private scattering ceremony.

The Story

Jackman, Norman E., C.D. 1927-2015 former Warrant Officer of the Queen's Own Rangers 1st American Regiment R.C.A.C passed on peacefully in his home on January 7th 2015. Father to (Norine) Nancy Pappone of Bancroft, and Russell H. Jackman and his partner Karen Coutts of St. Thomas, grandfather to Christopher and (Tia) Angelina Pappone. Survived by his sister Lillian Fletcher of Ottawa and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Norm was an avid swimmer attending Malton Community pool. He also generously supported many charities over the years. He will be remembered by his kind heart and sense of humour. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.

A celebration of Norm's life will be held Saturday, June 6th, 2015, Noon-4pm, at the Malton Community Centre, 3540 Morning Star Drive, Mississauga. Condolences can be made through this website or emailed to the family at memorial@normjackman.info.

All of the staff at the Malton Community Centre are sadden to hear of the passing of Norm. We loved his stories and shared in many laughs over the years. He will be missed.

Please have Lil Fletcher contact me My husband Charlie Russell nd Norm ran the cribbage league for many years at the Queens York Rangers and we had many pool parties at Norms . I wanted to go Sat but I'm. a senior and don't drive I couldn't gt there! Lil will remember me from many events at the armories. My address is francesrussell38@yahoo.ca. Could one of the family please let Lil Fletcher know I would like her to contact me at the above address . I well remember the great times we all had with Norm at the cribbage games and at the many pool parties we had atthe home.. I was really disappointed I couldn't get a ride to the Celebration of life on Sat as I would have loved to have been there . With deepest sympathy...... Sincerely. Frances xoxo

PS. Somehow in my messages part of it got left out. I said that Norm was a great guy and always lots of fun with all his teasing and jokes and will never be forgotten .
