Born in Lidice to Josef and Marie Kacl. He lived there with his parents and grandmother. He was deported to Lodz then to Chelmo among other children from Lidice. They were all gassed in a concealed van. Karel was sadly murdered 15 days before he reached his 8th year.

Can't imagine what the mothers went through; after having their husbands executed. Having their own kids and babies being separated from them. Half of them to be raised as Germans and most of them to be taken to their deaths :'(
