The Summer Guides To Read Before You Go Logoff

Welcome, Weekenders! In this newsletter:

These words were written at a cruising altitude of 34,000 feet—or at least that’s where Captain Pat said we were a few minutes ago. Like many of you, I’m using the long weekend to get out of town. Waaay out of town, actually. Like many of you recently, I’m headed off to Japan, where I plan to see if the all new ultra high-end sushi spots in America can shake a fin at the places where the cuisine was invented.

Yes, summer is here! And before you go log off and enjoy the start of it, I encourage you to first peruse our collection of guides below—whether you need some guidance for your own trip, a recommendation on a beach read or tips for men and women on what to wear to networking events like Allen & Co.’s annual media-and-tech gathering in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Abram Brown, editor of The Information’s Weekend section, already feels 13 hours ahead. Or is that 13 hours behind? You can reach him at abe@theinformation.com or find him on X.
