Westchester Dates Knicks Fans Should Circle

Bummed out by the ticket prices at Madison Square Garden? Head over to the Westchester County Center in White Plains, where the jerseys look familiar and the seats are much more budget-friendly!

The Westchester Knicks released their complete 2026–27 schedule Friday. They open with two road games against the Maine Celtics on November 6 and November 8 before returning to their home gym to face the reigning G League champion Greensboro Swarm on November 14.

The G League season begins with a 14-game Tip-Off Tournament, with regional pods of teams playing one another. That leads into the Winter Showcase, held December 19–22 in Orlando, followed by a 36-game regular season in which every team’s record resets. Regular-season play begins around December 27.

You might be wondering whether G League games are as exciting as the big-league tilts. To which I counter: You would have had fun watching Tyler Kolek do this last season.

Here are a few games we’ll be zeroed in on during the 2026–27 campaign.

November 6 and 8 at Maine: Westchester immediately gets two games against Boston’s affiliate. The opening weekend should offer our first meaningful look at the Knicks’ developmental pecking order.

November 14 vs. Greensboro: The home opener gives us our first chance to see this roster in the flesh locally, while the Swarm arrive fresh off the first championship in franchise history.

Four early games against Long Island: Westchester faces Brooklyn’s affiliate twice during the Tip-Off Tournament and twice immediately after the regular-season reset. Four early games against the same opponent should provide a useful measuring stick, no?

January 18 and 20 vs. Cleveland: The Cavaliers’ affiliate comes to town for consecutive games, providing another useful glimpse at how Westchester compares with one of the Eastern Conference’s stronger developmental pipelines.

Three 11 a.m. School Day games: The annual chorus of several thousand children returns Wednesday, January 27; Tuesday, February 9; and Thursday, March 11. Bring earplugs.

The eventual assignments of Tyler Nickel, selected 47th in this summer’s NBA Draft, and New York’s other prospects will determine how closely we follow each date. Either way, I hope to see you at a few games this season. Go W-Knicks.
