Redzone Sauna Combines Red Light & Infrared Heat To Maximize Recovery

The new device from WellnessSpace Brands will roll out in fitness clubs nationally, with operators including Crunch Fitness, Gold’s Gym and more already on board

While sweating it out in a sauna provides its own host of physical and mental wellness benefits, what if that recovery capacity was pushed even further?

The RedZone Sauna might be the next frontier of recovery technology, offering a powerful combo of infrared heat and red light therapy in one package to streamline the benefits of each tool.

WellnessSpace Brands, known for its recovery and wellness technology like HydroMassage and the CryoLounge+, is bringing the tech to fitness operators including Crunch Fitness, Workout Anytime, Golds Gym, TruFit Athletic Clubs, Club Fitness and YMCAs across the country.

“There has been incredible momentum in recent years in the categories of both infrared sauna and red light, but we saw a clear opportunity to thoughtfully combine these two separate services,” said WellnessSpace Brands founder and CEO Paul Lunter. 

“With RedZone Sauna, our goal was to create an innovative new concept that perfectly blended red light and infrared heat and eliminated many of the maintenance and cleaning hassles of traditional saunas,” Lunter added.

Initially teased at the HFA Show 2025, the RedZone includes both far-infrared (FIR) and near-infrared (NIR) quartz heaters that can be adjusted to quickly reach the high temperatures within minutes, while its red lights are spread throughout with six panels that target the face, chest, back, arms and legs. 

Additionally, the interior is built to resist sweat, moisture and odor, and has a sensor to alert if the door is left open.

Users can also take advantage of features like relaxation music and Bluetooth-enabled speakers, HEPA and charcoal air filters and a built-in fan to help dry off after a session.
