How Pet Indies Organize Their Free Kibble Sample Bags

Card image cap

question:

How does everyone organize their little free kibble sample bags? Do you display them for customers nicely to pick through? Store them in a back room? — Amanda Sarvas, Bone & Biscuit, Leduc, AB
  • We have a cabinet behind the cash wrap with labelled clear bins, one for each brand in cat and dog, with only one to two of each flavor in the bin at a time. Backstock is in our storage room, and we have a hole cut out of the side of each box with labelling so it’s easy to reach in and replenish. — Shane Somerville, Paddywack, Mill Creek, WA
  • On clip strips near the product, but the majority are held under our front counter, and we hand them out. The days of a beautiful big display are long gone … a few people ruined that for everyone. — Karen Conell, The Bark Market, Delavan, WI
  • We typically order them to put in our promotional swag bags so we don’t have too many sitting around. When we do have them in the store, we have them in baskets behind the counter so staff can move them out quickly. — Becci Johnson Scott, Fetching Dog, Scottsdale, AZ
  • We do not offer ours on the floor. We keep them in bins in receiving and only give them out upon request or offer. — Holly Mason, Petz Place, New Philadelphia, OH
