Dayton Animal Welfare Group Partners With National Expert As It Grows Its Behavior Program

A Dayton-area animal welfare organization is gaining national attention in a partnership with the nation’s first certified veterinary behaviorist with a special focus on shelter animals. A trend toward more large dogs being surrendered to animal shelters, as well as large dogs having behavior issues and taking longer to be adopted, has been on the rise nationally since the Covid-19 pandemic. Now one local organization is committed to growing its animal behavior program.
