What’s The Legality Of Teaching A Book, Chapter By Chapter, To People Who Don’t Own The Book?
I found an absolutely amazing book on psychology that I adore. This book was just recently released and obviously is under copyright. I run a private, paid, psychology tutoring group that goes outside of standard college textbooks and course material. This is over zoom, but it’s not available to the public, just my “students” What’s the legality of me teaching this book, nearly word for word in some cases, to my group? Is copyright only infringed if I literally post the book? Is it copyright if I claim I came up with the ideas? It it a violation regardless? Thanks!
