What Is The Process Of Obtaining A Gun License? I Tried To Google It, But It's Onfusing.

, I'm in a situation where I feel unsafe with a man(M42) that I (F21) been seeing, he's already threatened to put his hands on me, kind of already did while drunk, & has show up to my house which was the final straw.

He has called me 20 times in a day back to back, left me voicemails cussing me out, called me from a different number after blocking him. What makes this all worse is he lives a 5 minute walk from me as we live in the same neighborhood. So I avoid taking a certain bus route to not run into him as ive run into him before after I blocked him and he told me "I wanted to walk around the neighborhood in case I ran into you" .

I'm honestly scared I wish I never met this man, I literally just got off the phone with 911 15 minutes ago to ask what do I do in this situation as Ive never been in it before and they told me I'd either have to file a police report or get licensed for a gun.

I googled it and it's all so confusing and not giving me direct answers to get license for a gun...I'm kinda slow sorry lol.

So if anyone can provide me a step by step guide that'd be great, I live in Maryland btw.
