Should I Report My Family For Animal Abuse?
I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time but scared of the possibility my mom would find out it was me..
Basically, my mom is in over her head… She lives in a 2 room small house with 4 dogs, 2 kittens, and now a hedge hog..With my sister (22) and my brother (23). My sister is the worse of it..The two kittens are hers but she does not care for them.. While visiting them, I saw that the water bowl was dry and had dust in it along with green slime, the litter box had no litter in it, only feces, but her whole room smelled of pee and feces and you could see trails of it that she would not clean.. She had another kitten before these, that died due to her negligence. The poor thing got a UTI that was so bad, the kidneys were shutting down and they had to euthanize it.
The dogs are another huge issue..The first two, are mini schnauzers and are severely matted. So matted, they can barely walk, which is also due to overgrown nails that have curved inside toward the feet…The hair was also so matted on one that he could not open his mouth to eat. I had to cut off all the matts.
The other two dogs are boxers, and are aggressive towards each other and to the other animals. Due to this, they are constantly locked up for hours.
My mom is old, and she cannot handle these animals. My brother is special needs and has a brain injury, so he doesn’t understand the situation.
My sister, has no excuse. She constantly plays on the computer and that’s all she does 24/7..
My mom and brother are out of town till Tuesday, while my sister is at home..
I feel like it would be a perfect time to call animal control to do a wellness check or something. Give them a wake up call that they should either get their act together or rehome the animals.. Especially with my mom being a pathological liar, if she were there I feel like she would get her way..
Too many animals have died under their care..and I just cannot deal with knowing of anymore deaths..Because once dies, mom just keeps getting another one..
